LMC Volunteer Staff Dress Code
Dress Code Guidelines
While you are volunteering here with Loggerhead Marinelife Center we ask that you please adhere to the following dress code guidelines.
REMINDER: Florida has various weather conditions that are regularly integrated into our shifts here at LMC, you must come prepared.
Clothing must be fitted and wrinkle free. Avoid clothes that are dirty, ill-fitting, or frayed.
Only buttons, pins, or flair provided by LMC can be worn on your uniform. It’s important to always wear your LMC name badge unless you're in a situation where safety requires it to be removed.
Please remember that your primary role as a volunteer is to assist guests and represent LMC. Cell phone is not allowed in guest facing areas, such as the outdoor hospital or in Guest service. If you need to use your phone, please go to the lounge or behind our building. Your focus should be on providing excellent service and engagement
Pants, Shorts and Skorts
Solid colors only: tan/khaki, navy, gray, white, or black
Prints are NOT allowed
Denim allowed only in white or black; blue jeans are NOT permitted
Pants must be hemmed (no rolling) and not dragging on the ground
Neat cargo pockets allowed
Shorts, skorts, and skirts must be appropriate in length
Your shoes must be closed-toe for safety reasons, and it’s best to stick to neutral-colored footwear. Crocs are only allowed for those working in Animal Care. Please make sure your shoes are both safe and professional for your work environment.
Hats, Sweatshirts, & Jackets
LMC-branded or partner-branded hats are acceptable as well as plain solid-colored hats
Hats with sports teams, other attractions are NOT allowed
Hats with logos must have a logo no larger than 1 inch
LMC-branded jackets, vests, and fleece are available for order
Jackets that are not LMC branded must be Navy or Black in color
